Established in the year 2006 by H.H. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces. It is aligned to the emirate of Abu Dhabi’s leadership vision to develop sports and activities for the youth. Moreover, it promotes an effective, emirate-wide sports calendar stimulating the desire to participate in quality sports among all of Abu Dhabi’s residents and helps talented individuals reach their sporting potential.
Emirates Heritage Club was established on September 5, 1993. Its creation was promulgated by Emiri Decree No. (14) of 1997 as an independent organization affiliated to the government of Abu Dhabi, with the late Sheikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan as chairman until his demise, may God bless his soul. Since 2020, H.E. Mohammed Falah Al Ahbabi has beenservingas chairman of Emirates Heritage Club. The Club adopts a strategy that is guided by the long-term development goals of the Abu Dhabi government. As such, the Club views heritage as an element of sustainable development that must be safeguarded in order for society to reconnect with its civilizational roots, thus consolidating the foundations of the future.
